1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the PaintOps plugin or purchasing PaintOps Free or Pro, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the software.
2. License
The PaintOps free plugin is licensed under the GNU General Public License v2.0 or later (GPLv2+).
PaintOps Pro includes premium features, software updates, and licensing services provided through a paid subscription. Your Pro subscription grants you a non-exclusive license to use Pro features on the number of WordPress websites covered by your subscription while your subscription remains active.
Except as permitted by the GPL, you may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute proprietary PaintOps Pro features.
3. Pro Subscriptions and Billing
PaintOps Pro subscriptions are managed through Freemius.
Subscriptions are billed at the price and billing interval displayed during checkout (for example, $45 USD per month per website, unless otherwise stated).
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Freemius customer account. Cancellation prevents future renewals but does not refund amounts already paid. Your Pro features and updates remain available until the end of your current billing period.

4. Your Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- maintaining your own WordPress website, hosting environment, and backups;
- protecting your login credentials and API keys;
- ensuring the accuracy of estimates, contracts, invoices, pricing, schedules, and other information produced using PaintOps;
- complying with all laws and regulations that apply to your business; and
- obtaining any customer consents required by law.
If you connect PaintOps to third-party services such as OpenAI, Stripe, or Google Maps Platform, you are responsible for maintaining those accounts and complying with their respective terms and fees.
5. Third-Party Services
PaintOps may integrate with third-party services including:
- OpenAI
- Stripe
- Google Maps Platform
- Freemius
These services are provided by independent companies.
We do not control their availability, pricing, security, or privacy practices and are not responsible for interruptions, errors, or changes to those services.
Your use of these services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use PaintOps to:
- violate any applicable law;
- infringe another person’s rights;
- distribute malicious software;
- interfere with the operation or security of PaintOps;
- attempt to bypass licensing or security mechanisms; or
- use the software in a manner intended to harm others or disrupt our services.
7. No Professional Advice
PaintOps is business management software designed to assist painting contractors.
Estimates, pricing calculations, AI-generated content, contracts, scope language, inclusions, exclusions, scheduling tools, and financial reports are provided for informational and productivity purposes only.
They are not legal, accounting, financial, engineering, insurance, or professional advice.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and approving all documents, calculations, communications, and AI-generated content before relying on them or sending them to customers.
You should consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
8. Warranty Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PaintOps is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
This includes, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that PaintOps will operate without interruption or error or that it will meet your particular business requirements.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Coastal Standard FL, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of data, or business interruption arising out of or relating to your use of PaintOps.
Our total liability for any claim relating to PaintOps shall not exceed the total amount you paid for PaintOps Pro during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Coastal Standard FL, LLC, its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and licensors from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from:
- your use of PaintOps;
- your violation of these Terms;
- your violation of applicable law; or
- any estimates, contracts, invoices, communications, or other documents you create or distribute using PaintOps.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page.
Your continued use of PaintOps after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any legal action relating to these Terms shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

13. Support and Updates
An active PaintOps Pro subscription includes access to software updates, new Pro features, and customer support.
If your subscription expires or is cancelled, the software installed on your website will generally continue to function, but you may lose access to future updates, new Pro features, support services, and license-protected functionality, subject to the licensing terms in effect at that time.
